About the Village

A Season of Light, A City of Joy

Concept & Vision

Ghanaian culture, reimagined for the holidays

Accra Christmas Village brings together the warmth of a Ghanaian festival with the sparkle of a classic winter market. Adinkra symbols, Kente-inspired pavilions, and homegrown food and craft vendors sit alongside towering Christmas trees, string lights, and a Santa's Grotto — built for families, couples, and groups of friends alike.

Set across Olympic Park at the University of Ghana, Legon, the Village runs for eighteen nights, from 16 December 2026 through 2 January 2027, open every day from 10:00 AM to midnight.

Adinkra Heritage

Symbol-lit archways drawn from Adinkra iconography frame the entrance and lead to a central glowing tree.

Kente & Craft

Vendor pavilions echo Kente patterns and Ghanaian textile motifs, built by local makers for the Accra Made market.

Classic Christmas

Twinkling trees, carol choirs, Santa's Grotto, and a nightly fireworks finale round out a familiar festive spirit.
